Charter Commission - FINAL REPORT: York Home Rule Charter In May 2010, the Town of York voted to establish the Charter Commission, an ad-hoc group comprised of both elected and appointed York residents, to review the way in which the Town of York is governed as outlined in the 1991 Home Rule Charter. After almost two years of diligent work, and holding various public input meetings, Commissioners have prepared the Final Report for the York Home Rule Charter for voter consideration on May 19, 2012.

 Rapid Emergency Notification System - Register Now 

An Emergency Notification System is a system, which allows town and government entities to contact citizens in the event of an emergency in their area.  The system has several different methods of contacting citizens including traditional residential landlines, business lines, voice pagers, VoIP or digital "cable" phones and cell phones. 

York County residents are welcome and encouraged to enter their contact information so they may be contacted by the system in the event of an emergency.  By registering, you will be added to the emergency call list. 

The Town of York Police Department will be utilizing CodeRed.  

CodeRed does support TTY for hearing impaired.
